On February 18th and 19th  we ran our first Wellington Software Defined Networking workshop at Victoria University. This was our first workshop and the goal was to introduce software defined networking concepts and practice for people new to the field. Around 30 people attended including participants from Aura information security, Spark NZ, University of Auckland, Whitieria, Juniper, REANNZ, Dimension Data, Commerce Commission, Waikato University and the NZX.

Speakers included Sam Russell and Chris Lorier (REANNZ), Brad Cowie (Waikato) and members of our group (Dean Pemberton, Bryan Ng, Winston Seah and Ian Welch) as well as research students who have been based both at Victoria University and REANNZ (summer interns).
